Syndicated Blogs

Publishing a blog via email makes it possible for one or more bloggers to blog on one site even without an account. And it also makes possible the aggregation of multiple blogs using RSS feeds or an email sent from a blog.

This input mechanism available in most blogging services has been exploited by spammers to siphon content from different sites and build a blog automatically. The exploit is called auto blogging and was touted as a black hat technique. Seen up close, email blogging is just a simple way to syndicate content from one or more sources.

* This blog post is intended to test the email blogging features of both blogger.com and vox.com as part of my study on syndication.

  1. It worked, but the result looks terrible at the other end. I won't be able to implement syndication as it is right now. I should first find a fix. If I can't, I'll try something else.

  2. Option 1. What if I don't publish it immediately at the other end? I can edit my posts and publish the revised version. The advantage of this solution is the option to pick which post to publish.

Option 2. What if I BlogSend to a processing email address and send my blogs to their destination with immediate publishing enabled? The number of steps is the same with Option 1. The advantage is a common repository for all my blogs and one publishing interface.
